Below are some useful links that may be useful for your kindergartener.  Please let us know if any of the links do not work. 

Kindergarten in General
  • Kindergarten Handbook All you need to know about Kindergarten policies.  Many of your questions can be answered here regarding things like birthday treat policy, schedules, dress code, and more. 
  • Playdough Recipe

Learning Resources for all Subjects
  • Homework Spot Informational portal that supports homework related material  (Grades K-12)
  • Discovery Education Engaging digital resources for Math, Science, English and Social Studies  (Grades 4-8)
  • Encyclopædia Britannica Online encyclopedias (Grades K-8) - Contact your teacher for the log in information

Math 
  • Math Curriculum You will need an access code from your teacher to access this site. This site is made by Macmillan/McGraw Hill, the company that makes our math series. It has great tools to help your student master the math concept and skills. To access your text book, please email your teacher for your access code.
  • Khan Academy Math Resources    

Reading and Writing 
  • Language Arts Curriculum (Pearson) This site is made by Pearson, the company that makes our Language Arts series. It gives access to all of the in class curriculum, plus study resources and games. Be sure to get your log-in information from your teacher. 
  • Spelling City This website has several games that help your student practice spelling.
  • Starfall This site has great reading activities for beginners to intermediate. Open it up and let the learning/practice begin! 
  • Scholastic.com Visit this site to order books and explore other fun resources for reading.  
  • Handwriting: Good penmanship takes time and practice to develop.  The effort spent here will make writing tasks much easier throughout school.  Eliminate arguments now by expecting your child to learn the best grip and the best way to form letters.  
  •         OT Mom This site gives lots of information about gripping the pencil properly.
  •         Handiwriter This is a tool that can help your child grip the pencil properly.  You can make it at home with         a few rubber bands.
  •         Pencil Grips We are not recommending any one site to purchase from, but these are examples of grips             that could be helpful for developing a tripod grip.  

Science
  • Kids Know It  A student portal into the many exciting facets that make up our Universe Activities include educational games and worksheets  (Grades 4-8)
